Dan Rather’s new gig

Our buddies over at Garrand, had a nice post about Dan Rather’s new gig as host of the aptly named “Dan Rather Reports,” which debuts tonight.
He’s signed on with HDNet, a primarily HD station that has been picked up by Adelphia, DIRECTV, DISH Network, and Time Warner, among others.

Madonna bruised by paparazzi

Ed Bradley, “60 Minutes” reporter, dies

According to Maria Newman at the The New York Times:
Ed Bradley, an anchor on CBS’s 60 Minutes, died today after suffering from leukemia, CBS News reported. He was 65.
He joined the broadcast during the 1981-82 season. He was awarded 19 Emmys during his career, including one for a report on the reopening of the 50-year-old [...]

Having received three solicitations today for in-stream advertising on Web videos, we feel compelled to bring to light some data from Forrester via Adweek:
More than 80 percent of Web video viewers polled by Forrester Research called in-stream ads—placements that appear before or after clips—”annoying” and 75 percent said they ignore them.
