The afternoon squeeze – How to Digg

Haven’t been Digging lately? It’s okay. Kevin Rose has allegedly been overstating the number of visitors to his site anyway.
Regardless, if you work in PR, marketing, or otherwise simply consume news, it’s time to check out the site and understand what it’s all about if you haven’t already.
In short, Digg is a site that allows its members to submit a story (news article, blog post, photo, etc…) for others to “digg” or rank. Once a story gets a certain number of Diggs, it may appear on the site’s home page, which has been know to catapult a dugg item to widespread net popularity.
