Zune unboxing
The boys over at Engadget have a thorough post on the experience of unboxing a spankin’ new Zune.
Some are questioning this:

To set the record straight, “social” can be used as a noun. According to dictionary.com:
–noun
13. a social gathering or party, esp. of or as given by an organized group: a church social.
It reminded us of the “if Microsoft packaged the iPod” video that probably inspired Microsoft to do better this time around.

In all seriousness, the brand experience is what this is all about and Microsoft’s team (probably of 100 marketeers) have obviously spent some serious time and money thinking this one through.
It even looks like they’ve inspired the Vista team.
